A New Vest

Serif and I went in to 'Once Upon A Time' children's consignment store in Friday and had a ball! We found this really cool cowboy "Woody" vest and a dinosaur costume! We were actually just killing time before my sister got home so we could get firewood for our backyard camping extravaganza (more on that later). Here are a few photos of him that were taken the next day.

After a month of no accidents

. . . and pooping in the potty consistently, he just let me down. I tried to have a calm rational talk with him about it and when I asked him what made him do that, he said, "Jesus made me do that."

Morning Car Ride Conversations

Serif: "Where are we going?"

Jeff: "We're going to church."

Serif: "Do you think Jesus will be there?"

Jeff: "Yes."

Serif: "Do you think big Jesus will be there and the whale?"

Huh?

Serif: "I have a mosquito bite on my hand and I can't get it off. Maybe Uncle Don can get off. I bet he can."

Serif: "Do you think Ms. Candy will be there (church)?" (his teacher)

Jeff: "Maybe"

Serif: "I think she went to the beach."

Fall Sweaters

Serif has been so excited to wear his sweaters again. He even remembered them and asked for one of them before even seeing it in the closet! I couldn't believe it! He was so excited to wear this one this morning. When we got to school, he said he didn't want to take it off and that he was going to wear it all day. It was so funny! He did end up letting me take it off right before I left. I told him it would be on his hook just outside in the hall. He was okay with that.

His pants are barely fitting him from the spring. He loves it when I tell him how tall he's getting and that I don't have to roll his pants this time. I can't believe how fast he's growing!
