24 years together

I just realized that Jeff and I have been a couple for 24 years today. How can that even be possible? Here's to 24 more! It's been awesome.


Even more weird . . . I'm 8 months pregnant and our 5 year old son just took our picture.

32 Week Appointment

I went for my 32 week visit today. The ultrasound showed everything as being great! The only concern I had was the fact that she's already 5 pounds! I still have 8 weeks to go. Good Lord Jesus, thank you for a healthy baby but please don't let her get 10 lbs before she's born. 8 sounds good to me. Serif was 8.4.

Easter Egg Hunt

Serif has been looking forward to this Easter egg hunt all week. His friend Alexander said he'd get to join us and it's been months since they've seen each other. When we got there, we had to wait a few minutes for Alexander to show up. Serif played on the jungle gym for a while as he waited them suddenly sat and got sad. When asked what was wrong he said, "I'm bored without Alexander."





Finally, he arrived. The egg hunt started and they had a great time together.

Take My Picture

Serif has asked to go back to bass pro all week. He wanted to play all the games that were there when Santa was there. I promised we'd go Friday so he could see the Easter bunny. They don't normally have activities like that all year. He was so excited to get his picture with the bunny because he wanted to feel how soft he was.





After that, we headed over to the rainforest cafe, Lego store and food court for lunch. On our way he asked us to take a picture on about every rock we passed. He was loving the camera and feeling good today.

The crib

Jeff put the crib up yesterday and I finally got to wash up the linens for it today. I was able to iron while serif was in the tub but when he saw me with the bumper pad he got too excited and wanted out so he could help. He watched me tie it on and then immediately wanted in the bed. We put his new step stool next to the crib so he could get in and out by himself. Lord knows I can't lift him that high at this point. He was giddy!



He told us he wanted to sleep in there before the baby comes. I was somewhat doubtful that he'd actually stay in there but here's a photo for proof that he did it! Boy, it's been a long time since he's laid in that crib. And wow has he grown! He's a perfect fit.

Dragon Park

After bible study Wednesday we went to dragon park to enjoy the beautiful weather. Despite his look in some of these photos, he had a great time and decided that it should be our new thing every Wednesday.

Painting closets

We are in the process of installing new closet systems for the nursery and Serif's room. We have finally cleared out everything and started painting. We finally finished painting the nursery closet tonight with great help from a special little helper.

Morning Quote

Serif called me to his room this morning and when I got there I saw this. He was hiding in his pillows and animals and the quilt was in the floor. I asked him how the quilt got there and he shrugged and said, " I don't know." I asked if he did it last night (he came to our room at some point late). He said no. I them asked if he just did it this morning. He said no. I asked, @well then how did it get there?" He replied, "I guess the Undertaker must have done it."
(He and Jeff have been really get in to wrestling lately.)

SORRY!

We got to go see Ms. Lila yesterday for Serif's haircut and she completely surprised us with gifts! She didn't know if she'd see us again before the baby came so she went shopping on her lunch hour for us. So sweet! She got the baby two super cute outfits and Serif this Sorry game. He loves it! We have already played it so many times and it's only been one day! Thank you Lila for being so sweet and thoughtful and for your fabulous haircuts and friendship!!! XOXO
