Jeff was playing hockey with Serif last night when Jeff snatched the puck from Serif (after Serif kept saying, "No, no , no.". Serif looked at Jeff for a second, stuck out his bottom lip and said, "Serif's sad.". Then balled his eyes out. =(

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here are the valentines we made for Serif's classmates. In my effort to think more 'green', I cut up some cardboard boxes from the recycle pile at my work then cut out various sizes of construction paper hearts. I dabbed the glue on the card and Serif put on the hearts (when he wasn't eating the candy ones). I used the negative hearts for the back of the card and put the message there. I was originally going glue candy hearts to the card but Jeff reminded me that the kids would want to eat them. So, I decided to buy the individual candy heart boxes and tie them to the card with my favorite twine instead. We did glue one candy heart to the front of the card since that was my inspiration. I think they turned out pretty neat and hope everyone enjoys them!

Potty Star

Serif finally went potty in his potty! He got a potty star sticker (from his book). It started on his shirt, then pants, then somehow ended up on his face during his nap today. It was a funny surprise when I went to check on him.

We turned the corner to church this morning and as soon as Serif saw the church he said, "Jesus' house!"

Ice Skating

We took Serif ice skating today. It took him a little time to warm up but once he did, he did great! He actually made all the way around to rink! We were so impressed! He even got to watch hockey before we left too. I think that was just the icing on the cake for the afternoon.
