A GUITAR! (GEE-TAR)

Serif has shown a great interest for the guitar over the past couple of weeks. Jeff introduced him to a YouTube video of E-I-E-I-O by Peelander Z. They are a Japanese Punk Rock band that has come out with a kids album. Serif has been glued to that video since!

When we were in Seaside on vacation, we ate at "The Red Bar" restaurant for dinner 2 nights in a row because he just couldn't get enough "gee-tar" from the live band that played. Since being back home, his interest for the guitar has grown to a full-blown passion and longing for one. He can hear music on the radio and when he hears a guitar, he starts "playing". It's really pretty amazing.

Jeff was online last night looking for a good guitar for him and when Serif saw it, he kept trying to pick it off the screen! We went out and looked at several stores last night, but had no luck. We really just wanted a simple acoustic guitar without all the buttons and sounds that come on the Little Tykes stuff, but it needed to fit his size and be reasonably priced. Today, we discovered Phillips Toy Store in Bell Meade; we will never be back to Toys 'R Us again! This store was amazing! All three of us were mesmerized by the colorful toys that lined the store shelves and ceilings! I think all three of us were equally excited to be there for each discovery that wrapped each corner.

He immediately saw the guitar in the window when we pulled up to the store.

Then once we got in the store, Jeff scoped out the guitar aisle and took one out of the box for him to discover. He passed it right up at first, but once he saw it, he was so excited. We actually ended up getting him a smaller Ukelele since it was a better scale for him. It actually had a better sound too and for the same price as the red one!
